Count It All Joy

This morning I woke up feeling very grateful. When I think about the things that God has brought me from, I cry from a place of thankfulness. I realize now that every trial is a gift from God. They come with invitations to get closer to God and to experience his love. When you build a relationship with God you began to have joy, peace, and freedom in your life.

Who doesn’t want to enjoy the freedom that God’s has to offer you? I can tell you, the greatest trials that I had to endure birth some wonderful gifts within me. I have a beautiful 7-year-old daughter, a wonderful job, and I am now an author of my first book “The Things Women Endure”.

As I was going through my divorce, I thought was the worst thing that ever happened to me. I thought that I was going to brake. It felt like I couldn’t breathe most days. But one year later I can honestly say that going through that rough time was the best thing that ever happened to me.

God loves us and wants the best for us. He is proud of all his children no matter what. Even on our worst days, even in the midst of our sin and shame, God loves us and desires a personal and intimate relationship with us. In James he is telling us to consider our trials as all joy. Don’t wait until later when it takes no faith to believe it. Get the victory now when you cannot remotely see how the trial will end.

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings. Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

James 1:1-4 NIV

Thank you, Father, for loving me and accepting me as I am, no matter what my weaknesses and problems are. You are for me, and you love me unconditionally. I believe the passion of the Holy Spirit is moving me. I will not give in to guilt or condemnation but desire to see God's best in every part of my life. Thank you, Father, for your goodness towards me. In Jesus name, Amen
