February The” Love” Month

It’s the Love month and I want to share some tips with you to start practicing Self Love; which starts from within. Self-love is defined as "love of self" or "regard for one's own happiness or advantage.” (Wikipedia)

Going through my journey of divorce these are some things that I did to help me find my joy, peace, and happiness. I hope they will do the same for you!

Practice saying daily affirmations to yourself (in the mirror if you must)

Read the word and understand who/what God thinks of you (meditate on it day and night)

Start journaling what you think about yourself (what you like, what you dislike, your strengths, your weaknesses, and what truly makes you happy)

Seek help/support if you need it (don’t go through this alone)

Learn to love the situation you are in

Learn to love yourself

Learn to love being alone

Change your diet - Eat healthy (if you need to) Exercise (if you need to lose weight or have any health concerns)

Declutter your home and mind so that you can receive new things from God

Get back to being your beautiful self (organization, having good hygiene, buying new clothes, wearing make-up if that’s your thing)

Go back to school

Do the things that you’ve always wanted to try (on your bucket list)

Do some volunteer work (love on others)

Go to lunch/dinner

Go catch a matinee

Take cooking lessons

Take dance lessons
