Live Like Christ

Many of us wonder what our purpose is in life; thinking that the school we attend, the job we have, or how many kids we have are our purpose. But the bible shows us that in Romans 8:29, God chose us to be conformed in the image of His son, Jesus Christ.

God wants to reveal His Son in us. Galatians 1:15-16 states “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles.” God’s objective is for us to become like Christ. Have the characteristics of Christ.

So, if you are focused on anything else other than being like Christ you will continue to feel stuck and lost in this world. Your profession can’t help you or mold you into the person God needs you to be for his Kingdom. God wants you to know that He loves you and wants the best for you.

Once you submit your life to God, He will help you get into alignment with His will. You will and become a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), you will see a shift in your attitude. Have compassion for others. The things that used to bother you will no longer get on your nerves. You will begin to love like Jesus and see people the way that he sees them.

We are to humble ourselves and allow God to shape us and train us to be His faithful servants. Just know that test will come to grow you, but you must stand hold to the promises of God and what His word says. The more you change and grow in Christ, you will enjoy watching yourself transform into the person you’ve always wanted to be!
