The Butterfly Effect
Butterflies go through four stages in its life cycle. Each stage is different with different goals. Their process can take a month to year depending on the type of butterfly God is trying to create.
In the first stage the butterfly lays eggs in preparation for the second stage. The second stage is when the caterpillar is born, and it grows really fast from eating so that it can be at its fullest potential. And once it becomes too big for its skin it begins to shed its old skin in order to get its new skin while continuing to grow.
Caterpillars do not stay in that stage very long because when they are done growing, they go right into stage three which is the chrysalis stage. During this phase, the caterpillar is protecting itself from other animals. They need plenty of rest while this transformation is taking place.
The caterpillar is changing. It starts to look different. It shapes into a beautiful butterfly. So in stage four, the chrysalis opens and soon a colorful butterfly will emerge.
And that is what God does with us. He takes us through these seasons in life of molding and shaping us to become the best version of us that he knows us to be. He will prune us of all the imperfections that has attached themselves to us. We will continue to go through bad things in life until we can just sit still and allow God to do what he does during a transformation. Change can only accrue if you have a positive mindset. You must be willing to embrace God’s love for you and endure the process of becoming more like him.
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19 -NKJV
